“That so few if any have died in all this is a testimony to their political skill as well as their decency. “
Very well stated!
Wrong, their constitution calls for exile, if he returns he is subject to trial and imprisonment. He broke many laws including attempting to bypass their constitution and you think they can't exile him? It is too bad their laws require exile and not execution. As soon as he steps out of that embassy he will be arrested and brought to trial as their laws require.
Everything they have done has been according to their constitution and law. Even if they hadn't it would be none of our business, but it is especially onerous that Bozo is sticking his face in when they have done what they had to do and keep their country intact.
So he’s back in the country, thus the deportation issue is moot. The government should apologize for deporting him, reimburse his travel expenses, then indict the SOB. Whereupon, of course, if he wasn’t in the embassy, he’d deport himself to avoid prosecution.
There’s sort of an object lesson here on the perils of being a nice guy. They should have just jailed him in the first place. Essentially, you’d end up with the current circumstance, but without the speeches.
Glenn Reynolds today has an interesting link...
Not too hard to figure out who is perpetrating fraud and violence there in Honduras. Commie scum.
