Interesting.

My home state of California has 29 Mayors who signed onto this gun-grabbing petition, while my adopted state of Texas has just 1.

Pretty revealing, eh?

The list of MN mayors is not the least bit shocking. All 5 need to lose their jobs!

And I bet every one of them either carries or has security that does.

In my previous post I said:

Looking at this a little closer, I realized that California has three times the population that Texas does.

So, dividing by three to get some idea of the per capita response among mayors between the two states, we see that it works out to an almost 10 to 1 ratio for gun-grabbing in California.

That's an amazing cultural difference.

Judging by my state (NY), the cities listed have large minority populations and are constantly in the news for shootings. I cant believe these mayors think gun control of any kind will stop this. These people arent using guns bought on the street..which will STILL be there no matter how they want to control guns.

They should concentrate on these people and those guns, instead!!

Heh, I just knew I'd find ol' Ray Nagin on that list. He has so much practical experience to offer to the organization.

I did sort of enjoy the fact that only *one* mayor in all of Texas was foolish enough to participate. Maybe he drew the short straw.
