Europe is falling back into the quagmire with this decision.

The E.U. WILL NOT provide representative governance. The leaders of the E.U. will not stand for election. This is one great big socialist power grab. The people will be subject to the whims of the E.U. officials, and to hell with what they think.

You do realize this right?

Napoleon’s and Hitler’s dreams fulfilled. All without firing a shot.

Hitler’s dream was “Lebensraum” in the East. Somehow I don’t see the Russkies joining the EU anytime soon.

ahh, hellooo, William Wallace was SCOTTISH, not Irish. I understand the general tenor and tone of your comment, but you wouldnt pick Daniel Webster out of history to be a defender of the Southern USA’s states’ rights battles culminating in the American Civil War. A better example would be Thomas Fitzgerald, Earl of Kildare, who led a huge Irish uprising against Henry VIII, and paid for it at the end of a gallows rope.

He controlled a unified Europe, for a short season.

Makes you wonder what will happen to QE2.

Monarchy in what is essentially little more than a state like Iowa?

Which is most likely to occur first, if the European Union becomes a country:

(1) It implodes and breaks apart.

(2) Secession, by peaceful means.

(3) Secession, by civil war/revolution.

(4) The EU becomes authoritarian.

(5) The EU becomes the European Empire.

I dont get it.

Ireland fought for centuries to regain their independence. Countless people have been lost either through war, famine, and diaspora.

And this is what its come to.

“May the curse of Cromwell on you!”, So shout their ancestors.

The monarchy will be abolished by 2066 - the Hastings millennium.

"it sounds as if Great Britain, France, Ireland, Germany, and Italy...all once great empires of their own, will come to an end. "

What magic did this that so many wars of the past couldn't do?

“What magic did this that so many wars of the past couldn’t do?”

Fear of retribution. They made Ireland an offer they couldn’t refuse.

aah yes… the basics of tyrannical rule. It has been tried before but this time it seems to have worked.

The tyrant must be strong and cunning this time around.
How long do you think it will be before this tyrants teeth show?

“43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one[12] Translator’s note:
one...: Chaldee this with this to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. “

Forgive me, but I do not know what this means.”

Far too much for an email I’m afraid. As I say, the best thing to do would be listen to the Chuck Missler MP3s

In brief, the king had a dream, God interpreted it, and it outlined the 4 world-dominating empires. The Roman empire split into 2, then reformed, but weaker.

You mean this tyrant, or the EU tyrant?

This one has shown his teeth already.
