For one thing, we learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old...

Hey Paulie -- We're rubber, you're glue. Everything you say bounces off us and sticks to you.

Not to overlook that the libs’ entire belief system is based on feelings instead of logic and, when challenged, their arguments finally boil down to “because I want it.”

When Newt Gingrich shut down the federal government in an attempt to bully Bill Clinton into accepting those Medicare cuts?

Remember when the Rat party invented this lie 14 years ago?

I hope Krugman jumps off the Brooklyn Bridge in a fit of depression after the 2010 elections. He’ll have that Chicago “WTF we didn’t get the Olympics?” look on his stupid face. Jump Paul jump!

When I used to walk by a pile of NYT at the news stand I
used to want to spit on them.

I don't see them anymore. I think the news stands
around here stopped carrying them.

The GOD, Country, Family hating left got their wish.
There in charge (House, Senate, Executive) and are failing
miserably.

Of course their ideals aways have because they weaken everybody.

So vomit away Mr. Krugman because it's your own demise
you see in the mirror, the smoke you smell is your own tail
on fire. The left never learns, the Devil never keeps his bargains and
aways double crosses.

So into the dustbin of losers with you and the NYT Mr.
Krugman. America does not like to loose anymore then
it likes a looser.

I must admit that the democrats are fair minded and accommodating and were very civil in their behavior during GOP administrations. I can’t recall a single snub or insult ever mouthed or advanced by a democrat. They are all ladies and gents of the highest caliber and only wish for a spirit of cooperation and understanding. /s

‘bratty 13 year olds’ ?? snarked by one of the party who attacked and berated George Bush NON-STOP, calling him all sorts of vile names.

Those must have been bratty toddlers.

The absurdity of Paul Kruagman, the scream hysteric king of spite, lecturing anyone about moral decorum is so utterly absurd I am surprised the NY Slimes had the nerve to print it.

The “idealogues” of the right understand how DANGEROUS it is to allow leftists to be in power. It’s not that they/we want to govern, we just don’t want to allow THEM to, because of the loss of individual freedom when they do.

In early 1999, Krugman served on an advisory panel (including Larry Lindsey and Robert Zoellick) that offered Enron executives briefings on economic and political issues. He resigned from the panel in the fall of 1999 to comply with New York Times rules regarding conflicts of interest, when he accepted the Times's offer to become an op-ed columnist. Krugman later stated that he was paid $37,500 (not $50,000 as often reported - his early resignation cost him part of his fee), and that, for consulting that required him to spend four days in Houston, the fee was "rather low compared with my usual rates", which were around $20,000 for a one-hour speech.

I wouldn't pay this guy $20,000 a year.

The only difference now is that the G.O.P. is in a weaker position, having lost control not just of Congress but, to a large extent, of the terms of debate.

The opposite, of course, is true. Liberals are losing the debate, which is why Republicans are now "petty, childish, crazy, partisan, etc."

Meanwhile, liberal blogs and radio hosts use code words like "dangerous" and "sedition" to describe Republican criticism of Obama and are openly calling for the criminalization and oppression of conservative speech.

Not that anyone should be surprised that those who romaticize Castro are on-board with oppression.

Hmmmmmm...and the Democrat party was the Party of NO for Bush's eight years!!!

And does one need a history lesson regarding the Democrats' obstruction during the Reagan/Bush I years?

The Democrats obstruction on spending cuts, tax cuts, judicial appointments, Senate confirmation hearings were all readily apparent. Naturally the MSM relies on its selective revisionist history and of course the American populace's short attention span to weave these false stories of Republican 'spite'.

In fact this and other forums criticize the Republican party for being too cooperative with the libs' agendas, the congressional bills/laws.

You forgot to add that once the ReThuglicans are re-programmed and released from the camps, they can each have 40 acres and a mule.

Perhaps we need to update this to: they can each have a McMansion and a Lexus.

NOTE: Peggy Joseph, a voter in Sarasota, Fla., who exulted earlier this week at a Barack Obama rally that this was "the most memorable time of my life." Why? As she told a Florida reporter on a YouTube video that has been viewed by hundreds of thousands:
"Because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know. If I help [Obama], he's gonna help me."
