I’m rather jaded on the subject of diversity. I believe in equal treatment, but diversity has become a leverage to cast all common sense to the wind. It’s more like a code word for F U Whites!
I’m really growing tired of the reverse racism that is just plain rampant in this nation.
You try to treat other folks like they should be treated, keep you nose to the grindstone and support your own family, and then there’s this constant undercurrent of racial tension that you have to deal with.
We have a whole month of racial diversity awareness in our city. I’m sure it’s a national thing. We live about a third of a mile from a park, and two out of the last three weekends, they’ve been playing middle-eastern music in the park full blast. One day it lasted for about seven hours and the other it lasted about four hours. I’ve made recordings on our balcony of this music just blaring away. This next weekend is more than likely going to be another six to seven hours of it.
Imagine something akin to a mixture of music from Arabic countries to India. It just grates away at you incessantly. You try to ignore it, but it’s there in the back of your head the whole time. You can’t ignore it. 250 feet way, there’s an auditorium that sits empty. They could open it up and allow these people to celebrate in a manner that wouldn’t force everyone within half a mile of hearing this grating mind-numbing noise.
The word diversity holds very great import these days. The whole month of diversity awareness is only heralded for one reason. Whites have got to get over their racism. Another words, we’re racists. We need to accept others. Ah no, there are some things we shouldn’t have to accept.
What other reason is there for pushing this garbage?
I like people from about every corner of this planet. I am sick and tired of having their culture in my face non-stop.
I go to Middle-Eastern restaurants and try their food. I listen to their music there by choice.
I should not have to have it piped into my home full blast.
That “music” sounds like the kind of thing the US Army did to get Noriega to come out of his hideout. A time traveller from 50 years ago would not believe this BS.
