A group of red shirt-wearing Chavista thugs show up at a farm and seize the farm in the name of the government, under the pretext that the 103 hectare farm is idle land and that the law allows them to take it over for food production.
The farmer protests politely, explaining that hes been raising cattle on his farm for 23 years. He is rebuffed by another guy, who says, this is not going to be a debate; this is a public act approved by the Venezuelan people. Im governor and Im here to ensure public order. There wont be a debate, I ask you to listen to the document, after which the public will take charge of the land.
When the farmers wife protests, he tells her to discuss it in court.
Chavez controls the judiciary.
The farmer is told to sign the form, and then to gather the animals so they can be accounted for.
When another one of the people who lived at the farm tries to ask a question, the man who identified himself as the governor insists that this is not a debate, this is not a meeting, and if theres any disruption, the public force is here, pointing to the crowd in red shirts.
And this is a shotgun - now get off my land.
Sounds like a place where an old Colt 45 might be useful. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a serf.
Coming soon to a nation near you . . . Comrade.
Damn...I love CHANGE.

Fixed
Yep. Exactly what the Obama/Acorn crowd are hoping to enact here.
ACORN, I believe was doing some home grabs in CA,I do believe. They were living in foreclosed homes and felt they had a right to do so, as these were abandoned homes. They said the homeless needed a place to live. That was the excuse they gave.
Thanks to the delta smelt, there is a lot of "idle land" in California's Central Valley...
Here is a three of a kind whose economic policies are the same. Are you ready??
Robert Gabriel Mugabe
Zimbabwe
Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías
Venezuela
Barack Hussein Obama II
United States of America
See the tagline....
Coming to a State near you
How about an English link? I’m too busy learning Chinese.
With all due respect, one man who gets into a shootout with an armed crowd that is supported if necessary by a fairly modern military is generally known as a dead man.
You can certainly make a case that it is better to die on your feet than live on your knees, but one shouldn’t really imply that armed resistance by this farmer would have resulted in the government thugs backing down and leaving the farmer in possession of his property.
Any more than it worked out that way for Randy Weaver.
We’ve seen the exact same scene in Russia in 1920, China in 1949, Cuba in 1960, Cambodia in 1975. The basics are always the same, and it always involves the theft of private property “in the name of the people.”
This is called WAR.
Yep, although a farmer dispossessed of his land and belongings is pretty close to dead anyway. If you’re smart, you’ve gotten together with your neighbors beforehand and it isn’t one on many. But if it is, you kill the “governor” first if it comes to it. The revolution starts against the commissars, not the foot soldiers.
Um, what do you mean coming soon? I believe this already goes on in this nation, something about eminent domain expansion recently.
Randy Weavers life was destroyed over a law meant to give Federal agents something to do. Federal make-work laws are killing America.
No particular argument from me.
“Going” to happen here? Ha! Ask GM and Chrysler bond holders what happened to their private property earlier this year. It was confiscated and given to UAW thugs, upending a couple of centuries of well established contract law.
