True.

It is a;so true by corollary from the other rabid nutcase group on these threads that there would never, ever be any law enforcement or legislative corruption of any sort anywhere in America if only drugs were legal.

While I won’t argue for the legalization drugs, I will argue that the “War on Drugs” has done more to erode and in some cases eliminate our god-given rights. And the things done in the name of the “War on Drugs” has allowed corruption to fester in law enforcement and legislative bodies. Forfeiture of property before being convicted of any crime comes to mind. As does No-Knock warrants performed by SWAT teams on innocent families at wrong addresses. Give me 10 minutes on Google and I will find you links to scores of news stories about that.
