America needs a President who is a strong Christian leader. Huckabee is the man. He can use the power of the Presidency to preserve America’s Christian values that the Founders envisioned.

Wrong. The Founder specifically wrote into the Constitution a prohibition of a religious test for office seekers.

Please tell me where in the US Constitution you find any support for Huckabee proposed nation wide smoking ban?

Huck is simply wrong on several issues.

He does not understand economics very well.

He is far too much of a trade protectionist.

He is acceptable, if nominated, but not my first choice by a long shot.

What in the Sam Hill are you talking about? The Founding Fathers were not some group of bible thumping, theocrats regardless of what revisionism you choose to cling to.

Jefferson and Madison were men of reason and enlightenment, not Scripture. Ben Franklin was ambivalent at best, antagonistic and irreverent. George Washington couldn't care less if those who fought alongside him were Jews, Catholics or Mohammattans.

No republic is fit for evil men.

He may be a Christian, but he is not a conservative. With conservative values comes Christian values. Christian values do not bring conservative values: Example- Jimmy Carter

You, sir, are full of it. I can only hope you made this post in sarcasm.

The Huckster is a NOTHING but a populist who will take any position he thinks will get him elected - including amnesty for illegals.

Yeah, right.

America needs a POTUS that follows the Constitution and doesn’t seek to grow it or expand the nanny state.

Why don't he use it to cut taxes and spending, and let private and religious groups at the local level do the values thingy? I don't need a European Christian Democrat for President.

Not necessarily. We just need someone who won't try to diminish Christian values, since that is the faith of the majority of citizens in the US. There are plenty of faiths represented in these United States, and the Constitution specifically said none should be favored, nor should their free exercise be hindered.

If someone is a Christian, that's fine, just so long as he or she is a GOOD Christian, and who isn't making it seem like their religion is being pushed on everyone else. NO one likes that, even some Christians.
