Let me state for the record and give fair warning to a lot of folks who see no need to contribute.
Trust me, your shrink costs, should FR ever go away, will far outstrip any savings from donations you didn’t make.
FR DT’s will be common.
Maybe .barack will borrow us their donor list. ;-]
Thank you very much, NormsRevenge!!
Thank you very much, umgud!!
Yur welkum, Jim.
I’d send some more money but my stimulating bail-out check ain’t come yet. 8-}
Freepers,
I discovered FreeRepublic through Ann Coulter just last year. (Sorry, I got here as soon as I could.) Although I am a relative newbie at FR, I became a monthly donor after just one month of membership. If you are not a monthly donor, I encourage you to become one. Political talking heads regularly review conservative web sites, such as FR, to gauge the conservative grassroots consensus on the web. Through FR, we have a very powerful collective voice and the opportunity to influence the political conversation on a national level. So it’s important to financially support FR. You can do so for as little as $10 month. That’s about the cost of one lunch. Imagine: No Freep-a-thons!
I issue this challenge to you. If five monthly donors will sign up during this freep-a-thon, I’ll increase my monthly donation by five dollars. Come on, do it for Jim, who does SO MUCH for you!
Tex

"What would you do Without FR?????
How would You Feel without FR??? Suppose one day you tried to log on and Free Republic wasnt there? Where would you get your up to the minute news? How about the live threads as things are happening?
How would you know about the latest Demorat scams, anti-second amendment schemes and all the other liberal, anti-American ploys that are tried every single day?
Insight into world affairs, brilliant wit, sharp retorts, instant information gratification are a few of the things that make FR so vital.
How would you keep on top of things without FR?
How would you know who to contact to complain about the lying politicians, Media Bias, Hollyweirds latest mouth off, sponsors of these idiots, company policies that are unfair and all the other things we need to know to counteract the liberal mindset and the evil plans of liberals?
How would you be part of a Freep?
What would you do without FR????
Freedom isnt free.
If you enjoy the site and find it a place of like minded Americans to sound off, to get together, to fight back, to have your voice heard and make a difference, PLEASE CONTRIBUTE NOW! Jim cant do this alone.
The liberals are sure we wont be able to keep FR up & running. Prove them wrong. Show them we are indeed united Freepers. Whether it is $5.00, $50.00 or more, it all adds up. Please send a donation now to Free Republic."
I understand what you’re saying, BT, and it’s commendable to encourage everyone to donate to “help keep the lights on”, as Jim Rob says. Monthly donations are important in that respect, of course.
I just don’t know that eliminating FReepathons is a good idea.
I haven’t become a monthly donor because I prefer to send my contributions during the FReepathons.
FReepathons remind everyone that this wonderful site needs the monetary support of FReepers to help keep it running.
FReepathons also should be a reminder that it’s hypocritical to come on this site and be a FReeloader while complaining about such things as those freeloaders who ride in the gov’t wagon at the expense of a few taxpayers. To everyone who does not donate to support Free Republic: Think about that.
Some can’t afford to send a lot in these hard times; but, small donations combine to make a large difference when everyone contributes.
BUMP for BUCKS!
A dollar-a-day keeps the DUH-bama-trons away!
The FReepathons aren't really that painful for the regulars around here and they capture (I would think) a lot of lurker bucks.
Keep 'em as Jim wants 'em.
That’s the way I see it. FReepathons are a good thing.
I didn’t mean to imply that freep-a-thons are a bad thing.
What I meant by “Imagine: no freep-a-thons” was “Imagine if we had enough monthly donors to totally support FR.”
I know. That would be great!
I get it. No problems. :0)
Thank you very much, BuckeyeTexan!!
Woo hoo!!
And this just in:
$20 from Nevada
$20 from Georgia
$10 from California
$100 from Oklahoma
$20 from Missouri
Thank you all very much!!
Thank you very much, EdReform!!
