Rather, “Unlike WWII, there are ONLY anti-American and anti-war movies being made these days.”

Band of Brothers? Yes, but that was WWII.

Saving Pvt Ryan? Racist, hate-filled coward was the only one left standing after the others were killed, and HE had just murdered a German prisoner.

Go back and watch it again, Robert. Upham wasn’t the only survivor. Ryan himself and Ryben survived.

And the German prisoner needed killing.

There was Hamburger Hill, a underrated movie about the 101st in Vietnam.
Blackhawk down that showed how brave soldiers had to contend with politics and showed theirs restraint, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
We were Soldiers. I didnt really like this movie, but it showed how strong our men were in that war.
Every once in a while , Hollywood gets it right.

If my memory serves me...there were a couple guys that survived in that film.

And how do you figure that guy was a hate-filled racist?

Don't forget Taking Chance. While technically not a "war movie", this docu-drama shows the last journey home of Marine Lance Corporal Chance Phelps, who was killed in action in Iraq and how total strangers go out of their way to honor him and show their respect.
