One of the most educated states in the Union.

Then THAT must explain the Prozac sales figures!

Acts 26:24
At this point Festus interrupted Paul's defense. "You are out of your mind, Paul!" he shouted. "Your great learning is driving you insane."

U.S. Sen. John Randolph(1773-1833), of Roanoke, Virginia, was known for voting NO on virtually every bill presented to him. This, apparently, accurately reflected his acerbic personality.

Randolph was, however, fairly rich So, along with Nathaniel Macon of North Carolina, he was approached by Methodists with a proposal to donate money for the formation of a new college, and was somehow convinced to do so.

Seeing the Methodists start up a school, the Baptists decided they wanted one too. So, as the story goes, a couple of Baptist preachers approached Sen. Randolph with their proposal. Randolph heard them out, with their justification apparently going something like "Hey, you donated money to the Methodists to let them educate their young men; why can't you do the same for us so we can educate ours as well?" Randolph's reply went:

"But, my dear sir, if you educate them, they will no longer be Baptists."

I don't think that is quite right.

They've DONE that, but were affected by LDS spin as to what it MEANS.

I think it's when MORMONs read the various things that MORMONISM has printed over the years, the MEAT - not the MILK, that they become ex-Mormons.

Yes, you are “Nutz”. Who gives a crap if he’s a Mormon? How does that effect your life in any real way?

No, you are "Nutz" far caring if I give a crap if he's Mormon. How does that effect your life in any real way?

The point is you’re essentially going out of your way to say “how can he(Beck)be so right on all the issues, yet still be a Mormon”

Why would you care if he’s Mormon? Is he trying to convert you?

This forum has so many anti-Mormons. I just don’t get it. On the scale of dangerous religions, with Islam being the gold-standard for violent nut-cases Mormonism has to be on the other side of the spectrum.

I mean what about them is so scary? The non-drinking? The anti-gay marriage? The clean lifestyle?

I guess some of the creepy ones have to whole polygammy thing going andthat’s a little crazy. But it’s not suicide bomber crazy is it?

...because Glenn Beck hasn’t fact-checked the Book of Mormon as thoroughly as he’s fact-checking the Obama czars.

***

Excuse the fact checker is the Holy Ghost which trumps any thing you got going on in the world!

Anyway I am so thankful at how much Glenn Beck has grown in the pass several months in the way he delivers his message with out extream antics!

I just thought that since so many are busy spamming, and not reading intelligent posts like yours, I’d say “Way to go.” Thanks.

EVERYONE has to rely on faith that is otherwise UNPROVABLE, except by testing it (Jesus said, to paraphrase, “If anyone wants to know whether my doctrine is of God, or whether I speak of myself, let him do it.”). He gave the perfect way, if you want to know if something is true, you can try it, but there is no logical way to “know” anything about God, unless one gets it in the way that God gives it, and that, remains now, and forever, nonsensical to man. Man can only obey and learn after God’s order, not figure God out by himself. The debate has been ragine for many thousand years, with no consensus, and there never will be. (Well until the millenium and the wicked are no longer present, then everyone I guess would know, but that too is a Christian belief, so...)

JDW

Thanks for posting.

I thought there must be a mistake . I had to check to see if somebody had hacked my account and was posting intelligent stuff . I could be ruined . Thank you , but my post just seems to state the obvious .
