Time growing short, Democratic leaders in the House and Senate still face key decisions if they are to achieve President Barack Obama's goal of passing legislation to remake the nation's health care system by year's end.

Year's end? I thought his goal was the end of August.
We need you now more then ever. Your Senator Ben Nelson may be the deciding vote on Health Care. Please, Call him! Tell him to stand with you, not his party bosses!
Ben Nelson (D-Nb.), though, said Sunday that he's not committed to vote to kill a GOP filibuster.
"I have made no promise," Nelson said on CNN's "State of the Union." I can't decide about the procedural vote until I see the underlying bill. It would be, I think, reckless to say I'll support the procedure without knowing what the underlying bill consists of. And it's not put together yet.
It's a draft it will be a draft bill some time next week, submitted the Congressional Budget Office for the review of the cost." Nelson also gave a thumbs-down to the idea of a state opt-out, saying, "I certainly am not excited about a public option where states would opt out or a robust, as they call it, robust government-run insurance plan. I'll take a look at the one where states could opt in if they make the decision themselves."
Words are flexible with the criminal in our White House. In a few months, that liar will be changing which year's end he's referring to ... and still trying to force socialized medicine on unwilling people.
The sheep dont want to remember that
What I want to know is if this mess gets passed can it be thrown out or nullified when a more balanced administration/congress arrives on the scene?
Will the reform bill be considered ‘law’?
Are we in danger of being stuck with this forever?
The sound of drums! The State-Run Media is beating the drums: get it done! get it done! Bum-dadda-Bum! Bum-dadda-Bum!
They KNOW that their time is running out!
Rollback in 2010.
Clock ticking on Democrats’ health care reform
Just like a package from the Unabomber sitting on
Harry Reid’s desk....
=====”Are we in danger of being stuck with this forever?======
Yes and no. Can you dissolve the public school system? The post office? DMV?
See, when it becomes part of our society we simply move on and accept it. Then, as we know, getting rid of a government system with hundreds of thousands of employees and big unions is next to impossible.
FWIW, you would have to have a conservative takeover in every aspect of society (schools, health care, post office, etc) and reverse what damage was done. Being a realist, I hold out little hope.
Lets just get this shot down before we tackle other corruption....I think that’s their plan because there is “Crap and tax”, ACORN, SEIU, Hamas, Afghanistan, welfare, etc.
Screw the CBO assessment, they are not trustworthy! I want the Supreme Court to rule whether this HC Bill is constitutional!
Cousins in Nebraska are certain Ben Nelson will pose as a concerned centrist but, in the end, do the bidding of Obama & the DNC ...
Maybe but also if enough people in Nebraska call him to make it clear they are watching closely what he is up to, they may make him realize he is not going to get away with it this time.
Yes!
Consider the Department of Education, created at the end of Carter's term and which Reagan tried to abolish. Doesn't matter that it hasn't helped educate a single child, it's still with us.
Exactly, Little Davey Espo is getting impatient for his radical socialist takeover!!
Davey Espo is a very dedicated Dem operative at the All Propaganda outlet !
Only those dependent upon the goobermint teat for handouts or a paycheck from a do-nothing job would be affected.
ACORN is a prime example of waste and overreach by the federalalies.
You are correct and ditto for each and every “so-called” Blue Dog ...
They all plan to vote for the KEY issue cloture ‘to have a good debate on the floor of the Senate’ ever knowing that allows a simple majority to pass whatever abortional product emerges from ‘conference’.
Then they can solemnly tell folks back home that the ‘fought against the bill’.
I doubt a single democrat senator will stand and really deliver.
When Hoffman, Christie, and McDonnell pull off wins, the blood of the Democrats will run like ice water in their veins, and the whole health care reform parade will come grinding to a halt.
