You’re not alone.
My wife, her sister, my sister, my daughter in law and a good friend’s wife
( who just had her first baby ) are going through the same thing because they have a son or husband in Afghanistan.
This is the first deployment at our house, but, the second and in one case, the third deployment for the others .
The women are having an unusually tough time and the fathers are furious.
Unlike the previous deployments.
And it all goes to the fact that none of us trust Barry .
We trusted George Bush.
Just how long does it take to “prove” we have to negotiate a “just peace”?
I don’t believe that we can hold together as a nation for 3 more years of this.
RD
Ive had non stop deployments since 2003(2 sons), and they have become unusually rough lately due to the lack of leadership coming out DC.
Still, obama has not published his National Security Strategy."
My deepest prayers for peace for you, FRiend. May God place a shield of protection over our troops. In Jesus’ Name, I pray!
And, what about that tee-time on Sunday?
Thank you W I know you have been down this road one too many times as well
Anyone waiting this long to make a decision in the matter has already placed that decision at the mercy of the development of external events. 0bama is waiting for something to help make his decision palatable to the public. It's the difference between the timing that is vital to military affairs and that which is vital to sales affairs. Politicians understand the latter and tend not to understand the difference, especially if they've never served in the military.
Yes, he has tripled the national deficit, infiltrated an elected government with unelected czars, and transformed U.S. foreign policy into a bad joke. But this failure to act may be the worst thing 0bama has done in government so far. IMHO.
Your post says it all.

Perfect. Sad, but perfect.
God be with you, my FRiend.
Perfect.
Painful but true bump.
bump that
Joe Biden bristled at his predecessors charge that the Obama Administration was dithering on the war in Afghanistan...
Biden on Cheney’s Latest Salvo: “Who Cares?” Who cares? Biden said, when asked to comment on Cheneys claims that Obama was dithering on ordering more troops to Afghanistan.
As recounted in a pool report filed by Matthew Mosk of the Washington Times:
Asked about Cheney’s recent suggestion that the prior administration had already left behind its own thorough assessment of the Afghanistan war, he at first looked piqued. “Well, look, I dont...” He paused. “Who cares what...” he began again, sounding annoyed. He paused again, looking as though he wanted to stuff the words back in his mouth.
Who cares what he said, and then stopped himself to find another way to put it. (I can see the headline now, said the famously free-wheeling vice president. Im getting better, guys.)
Meanwhile: Charles Schumer: True cost of Afghan stability could be too high for America
- 10/27/09
The price of bringing stability to Afghanistan might simply be too high, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said this morning.
“Make a freakin’ decision already, Mr. President!”
“I ah, ah decide to.. Play another round of golf, followed by eh, a tax payer funded trip to eh Five Guys burgers, and eh then to ah Baskin Robbins for some ice cream. Then I’ll go back on all of the late night shows like Letterman and eh Conan to ah pitch my healthcare destruction err I mean overhaul plan and take in a broadway play.”
