There is a major question about the efficacy of the SEASONAL flu shot. And the media are now stating that the H1N1 vaccine is made exactly the same as the seasonal flu shot. The question is: does the seasonal shot work at all, and evidence suggests that it does not. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200911/brownlee-h1n1. This is a long article, but it states that the seasonal flu formula each year is a consensus opinion of what strain of flu will occur in the next season. It is a SWAG, because it takes months to manufacture. In recent years, the opinion-makers have missed twice. This means that NO ONE got a flu shot. But, in those years, the death rate was the same as when the population got a valid flu shot. There is absolutely NO evidence that the seasonal flu shot has any effectiveness.
