I suggest you pass this on to your entire e-list. You never know who might pay attention to it - and STAY ALIVE because of it.
Well, if you have a retired brother from big Pharma, I can only imagine you were setting me up with your questions. But everything you mention is solid advice ... and it's nice you're off the Advair. My husband was told when he was one sick child that he would be on asthma medicine for the rest of his life. Instead, he decided to run. And he's never stopped (except for taking the medicine that is).

"Well, if you have a retired brother from big Pharma, I can only imagine you were setting me up with your questions."No, not at all. He's a cousin, not my brother. And just because he worked for them, doesn't mean that I am a friend of big Pharma.
I use something called an electronic cigarette -- it's a personal vaporizer that delivers nicotine -- a healthier alternative to cigarettes. We just went through a big fight here in CA where big Pharma backed a politician who introduced legislation to make e-cigs illegal. Why? Because Big Pharma wants people to use THEIR nicotine replacement products, not some unregulated product like e-cigs. We won for now when Gov Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill.
Big Pharma has big money and lots of political power -- and they will use it wherever they can for their own benefit, not ours.
