Obama administration trying to redefine marriage
Washington Times ^ | October 28, 2009 | Editorial

Mr. Holder and Miss Schmaler, however, are not the only powerful Obama administration officials who want to redefine one of our society's central institutions. Cass Sunstein, Mr. Obama's powerful "regulatory czar," is equally out of touch. In a new edition of his book "Nudge," coauthored with Richard Thaler, the authors call marriage an "anachronism" and its benefits "surprisingly low." The book goes on to complain that marriage, "produce* unnecessary polarization. ... the most obvious difficulty is that religious organizations insist that they should be permitted to define marriage as they like, while same-sex couples insist that they should be able to make long-term commitments without having a second-class status."

So, because the federal government does not recognize marriage of homosexuals, Mr. Sunstein's solution is that we shouldn't recognize traditional marriage. There's more. An Obama nominee to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Chai Feldblum, claimed in 2005: "I, for one, am not sure whether marriage is a normatively good institution." . . .

God already did that.

Read two accounts in the Bible.

The account of creation in Genesis

and

The Story of the Wedding at Cana where Jesus works his first public miracle.

How is it that every time I read remarks from someone associated with Harvard, said comments are invariably idiotic?

Cicero excepted, of course.

There is more idiocy in Obama’s little finger than all of America. So how did he get in office and appoint all these idiots? He did it by giving everyone the finger when they weren’t looking and even when they were. They were hypnotized by the fingers and when you have more idiocy in your little finger than all of America, that is powerful stuff.

I think this goes far beyond gays - the real insidiousness of it is that it concerns traditional marriage at all. Marriage is a pledge of love and commitment made before God, and IMHO that means it is NO business whatsoever of the government. That's why it has been done and registered in churches and temples and other solely spiritual places and conditions all over the entire world for, oh, I don't know, how about FOREVER.

The liberal agenda of destruction of the traditional family has overtones far more sinister than homosexual unions.

By eliminating legal invovlement in marrage arrangement, we are opening the gate to polygamy.

According to Brigette Gabriel, Bin Laddin and his father have produced 80 offspring, thanks to a high libido and FOUR WIVES. In this way, the Muslims will come to outnumber US in OUR Country as they outnumbered the Christians in a once Christian Lebanon, formerly the Jewel of teh Mediterranean, and now just nother chaotic, violent, Islamic cess-pit.
