It’s both hilarious and maddening to see them try to figure out WHAT is going on. Good Lord, they didn’t pay attention to the march on Washington at all, did they? This shouldn’t surprise any GOP’er who was paying attention to the base.
Considering how many of them attempted to co-opt the movement, starting back in April, you'd think they'd have a much more sensitive *finger on the pulse*, wouldn't you?
They'd better pay attention now and understand come next summer that they need to support conservatives in the primaries, else they will see this same thing occur come November.
Of course they can't figure it out and no, they didn't pay attention. If it doesn't come from a focus group they've assembled or directly from party headquarters, they dismiss it as nothing important.
It amazes me time and time again at the arrogance and sometimes sheer stupidity that elected officials display. They have become so fat and happy in their little political towers, that they only pretend to listen to the voters.
The Tea Parties only got their attention ... the pressure has to be continuous and increasing for them to actually start listening and understanding. If we let up now, it will all be for naught.
That’s my take too—what do you think that march embodied?
It didn’t resonate...enough. It will. Let’s see this Tuesday what happens.
It ain't just a river in Egypt...
DC Republicans believe what they see and hear on CNN, NPR, and over cocktails in Georgetown. So when the MSM dismissed them as meaningless and insignificant, paid off by the pharma folks, racists and kooks, the DC Republicans believed them.
