Yeah, I’d been thinking of writing in Lonegan as a protest vote. But over the last two weeks or so, I’ve decided I’ve got to take the least of three evils, push the button for Christie and try to limit the damage the Dems can do.

Stinks, though. I wish I could vote for a real conservative in NJ. I wish a real conservative would have party backing (not like Schundler left to drift in the wind.) I wish my fellow citizens would actually elect a conservative - but that’s a pipe dream.

It was my understanding that while not being the type of red meat FReeper-style conservative that we’d all love to see in place across the country, that Chris Christie was at least “conservative enough.” About as conservative as you can conceivably see win in NJ? IIRC, OnTheIssues says he is pro-life and anti-gay marriage, and generally good on economic and corruption issues?
