In Texas, this is not an issue. This was a righteous shoot - and in Texas, she does *not* have to be in fear for her life to shoot a car burglar.
Oh course, the screwdriver defense did not work for the HERO of the New York City subways, Bernhard Goetz, some 20 years ago, or so.
