Five soldiers have been shot dead by a "rogue" Afghan policeman in an attack at a police checkpoint.
Three Grenadier Guards and two Royal Military Police were attacked as they rested inside a compound.
The soldiers, who had removed their body armour and helmets, were shot by an Afghan national policeman who then fled. It is not known whether he was a member of the Taliban or being coerced by the insurgents.

What a mess is Afghanistan! With rogue Muslims, the evil Taliban, outright Al Quaeda terrorists, and a corrupt government, we might as well raze the whole country (if it deserves to be called a country). Sincere sympathies to our traditional allies (still), the British.
Neither rogue nor coward, just doing what any “good” Muslim would do if he had the guts.

And according to the commander in chief Obama, once this guy is caught he needs to have his rights read to him, treated compassionately, fed well, and provided all of the requisite Islamic prayer needs. What a crock!!!!!!!!!!

ummm, I think they are all Muslims out there in Afghanistan. What is your point? Should we stop helping Karzi, who is also a , gasp, Muslim?
This sort of thing has happened several times before with American troops as victims.
My point is simple, War is war. We’re at war wit islam.. Don’t trust any muslim with a gun. These soldiers removed their body armor, let their gaurd down and trusted a muslim with their lives. Bad mistake!

The actual reported phrase was “Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius” which means “Kill them. For the Lord knows those who are his”.
The guy also shot and killed three Afghan policemen as well as the five Brits. Just remember that.

What part of the declaration of the war on terror do you not understand? We declared war on terrorism. We declared war on the Taliban. We did NOT declare war on Islam, and for a very good reason too.
The opposition would like to make this out to be another western crusade against moslems, and thereby rally support for the Jihad. Most moslems understand Jihad as a defensive measure against outside aggression (those that recognise it as a sixth pillar of islam anyway). Our argument is with those hate-filled close-minded narrow interpretive fundamentalist idiots who think a shortcut to heaven consists of blowing up people. If we make that clear, we will get the majority of moslems on our side. If we just declare war on all moslems, we can hardly complain if all of them start fighting us. Its called tactics.
Now, if by “war on Islam” you are referring to the culture clash between the islamic and judeo-christian interpretations of how we should live our lives, then I would agree with you - but that is a war of idealogies, and that is fought on a different battleground.
