Well, the original post asked for an English translation and in Arabic, the word "Allah" is translated as "God". Don't trust me. Take a look at any Arabic-English on-line or hard copy dictionary.
"Akbar" means "the great" or "is great".
You and I agree as to the god of Islam's identity, though.
