Fort Hood shooting: Texas army killer linked to September 11 terrorists Major Nidal Malik Hasan worshipped at a mosque led by a radical imam said to be a "spiritual adviser" to three of the hijackers who attacked America on Sept 11, 2001.

Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday's horrific shooting spree.

As investigators look at Hasan's motives and mindset, his attendance at the mosque could be an important piece of the jigsaw. Al-Awlaki moved to Dar al-Hijrah as imam in January, 2001, from the west coast, and three months later the September 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour began attending his services. A third hijacker attended his services in California.

If he’s not permanently brain damaged & paralyzed after waking up from his current coma, I wonder how many offers of marriage this so-called “officer & gentleman” will receive?

The state of Virginia had over 40 madrasahs—the news I told friends about six years ago. :(

<Can’t wait until Glenn Beck gets well enough to connect these dots!!!

No kidding. I knew the Judge was filling in, but I only recently learned Beck had appendicitis. Maybe it’s a good thing. I was afraid Beck’s head would explode with all the news this week. : )

Thank you for this piece -

I'm sending it to everyone in my mail box -

word has gone out from the traitor-in-cheif to keep up this PTSD farce - and all of a sudden he's finally going to Walter Reed? Got some records there that need locking up?

This traitor-in-cheif's loyalties and sympathies are NOT with America. He's a deep ‘enemy domestic.’

WE mustn't jump to conclusions, says he - he butted in and jumped to conclusions in the black prof/white officer incident, an incident the president of the US had no place in sticking his nose in the first place.

But in a case of terrorism - cover it up.

And he's not the only democrat president who gives these Cretins a pass - which allows them time to regroup and come back with a worse attack.

Had Clinton not covered up the connection - the other guy in the truck with McVeigh - and not all but ignored the first towers bombing, the embassy bombings, the Kohl bombing - and then refused the opportunities he was given to have osama handed to him on a silver platter - we would never have had 9/11.

With Clinton, I have suspicion it was because he was having so much fun being the leader of the world - and especially fun in the oval office, he didn't want to be bothered with real work.

With the current POS in the oval office, I suspicion it's far more sinister. I suspicion his loyalties are with the dark side.

God protect us.

I doubt he planned an attack years in advance, but I am guessing that it provided a means of escape from a life he hated.

Put your head in the sand and fail to recognize the stress when lawful orders (via superconstitutional treaty) come down for troops to crush American citizens.

But is it not surprising that there are starting to be some very negative articles about him in the American press? Not many, granted, but any is an improvement.

NO! Never deployed. The lily-livered coward tried to buy his way out of deployment, after sucking off the American taxpayers for his undergrad education and his medical school tuition! Piece of lazy smelly filth!!!

Hey, it’s prolly just a coincenence with no real connection. After all, Obama sat thru 20 years of Rev Wright without ever hearing anything negative.

Your post just brought to mind how Rush often laments how dramatic events always occurr when he's away somewhere.
