Your impressions are correct. It’s not about the Governor; it’s about our crappy legislature, which is overwhelmingly Democratic, and their refusal to work with a GOP Governor.
In addition, the special interest groups have a huge place setting at the table, and that is not going to change until we change the make-up of the State Assembly.
And thanks to the Gerrymandered districts and a gutless state GOP we are stuck with a permanent liberal democrat majority.

If you try to out moderate the moderates people will reject you. That doesn't mean you have to be a nut and go to either extreme but you need to have principles and be able to articulate and defend them.
