Posted on 11/17/2009 9:32:33 AM PST by Zakeet

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends).

Just 29% agree with the decision to try Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and five other terrorists suspects in a New York city courtroom. Fifty-one percent (51%) disagree.

Support for the health care plan working its way through Congress is up to 47%, but 49% remain opposed.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Republican voters say that Sarah Palin shares their values. Just 18% see her as a divisive force within the GOP.

Nice trend line. If it continues unabated, it should hit zero sometime in September 2012

He’s fallen below this important benchmark of 50% approval. If he’s smart, he’ll take a step back on the radical agenda. Up until now, he was made of teflon. But I think NYer’s are not too happy with the trial thing.

He thinks he’s safe with his NY liberal intelligentsia. There are Democrats there that thinks Republicans are rednecks, and would never lower their elitist standard. But 9/11 was a game changer. NYer’s haven’t forgotten it.

This daily approval will drive you nuts with up and down. around the ninth of each month Rasmussen posts an monthly average so in January of 09 Obama was at plus 23%
by June-plus 2
July- a minus 7
August a minus 9
September a minus 8
and Ocotober at minus 10.
The trend is DOWN.Just not as rapid as I would like to see it!

Just 29% agree with the decision to try Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and five other terrorists suspects in a New York city courtroom. Fifty-one percent (51%) disagree.

However, since most of the 29% consist of intelligent and gifted liberals and most of the 51% consist of rubes in flyover country, these numbers really don't matter, do they? < / sarcasm >

looking like a stock trend line with moderate support at 45%. Once he bounces off of that a few times and breaks support its dead-ender only time. Capitulation gets him to the 20% range (hard core loonies and AA holdouts)in approval by 2012.

Okay. He’s now hit his lowest-low (again) of 27% Approval.

I don’t see that number moving. The 39% Disapproval needs to climb and I think it will with his KSM-trial faux pas.

Tomorrow -14, Thursday a new low of -15?

Does anyone remeber what W’s poll numbers were when the lame stream media started crowing about him being such an “unpopular” president?

Rush opened his show talking about polls. The disapproval number is probably much lower. People who are asked about the man-child president in a poll may still be worried about being considered racist if they say they disapprove. How they feel about his policies is more telling....

I don't care if he gets down to 9% approval in 2011.

He will win in 2012.

All he has to do in 2012 is convince people things are better than they were in 2011.

The MSM and lefty bloggers will help on that quest.

Also, the worse the economy gets, the more people will go on the government dole. Once they do that, he and the MSM will go on forever about the Republicans' secret plans to take away your new-found government booty.

By 2012, too many voters will forget when exactly things started to go south, but they will see him trying hard to fix things, and, darn it, if those nasty Republicans get back in, I might lose my welfare, my housing voucher, my food stamps, oh dear!

We need to do better - The Kenyan should be at no more than 30-35% approval.

“He’s fallen below this important benchmark of 50% approval. If he’s smart, he’ll take a step back on the radical agenda.”

He won’t because he is who he is. He’s the most liberal, most radical Dem we’ve ever had. After Bill Clinton lost the House in 1994 even he was smart enough to moderate on some positions, tone down some of the rhetorical talk and compromise a bit to save his presidency. I just don’t think BO is going to go this route. That’s OK. He can go down in flames then in 2012 he’ll be history.
