CCL is legal in MN, but I dont have a license yet. Things are getting pretty bad so I’m seriously considering getting one soon.

Those Somalis are major wusses though. Last summer I saw this drugged out Native American go in a Somali coffee shop across the street and beat up about a dozen of the coffee sipping patrons with a pool cue he grabbed off the table.

Run up on me like that and their guts will be all over the sidewalk. I have been assualted before and the last time, the guy hit me with his gun because he was offended that I did not have enough money. He should have been satisfied because when he escalated it, I gutted him like a fish and his gun did not help him not one bit. I would be completely tickled pink if one of these punks had the same thing happen. I don’t care how old you are, if you have a good gutting coming to you, you should get it.

I was on my way to my car one night and a guy with a gun confronted me. Demanded my money. I handed him my wallet and the insignificant amount in it offended him so he hit me on the side of the head with the pistol and I went down to a knee. He demanded more money and I told him I had already given him all I had. He placed the barrel of the gun on my head.

From the time I was a kid, 8-10 year old at least, I have carried a knife. I worked for an uncle who owned a sheep shearing service and I worked as what they called a "wooly boy." When a sheep shearer is done shearing a sheep, he goes to get another. The wooly boy's job is run in, slip a washer (this is how the shearer kept count) on a wire at the shearing station and pick up the wool and place it on a table where another wooly boy would put into sacks. Knives were a tool needed to cut the strings of sewn together wool sacks, ropes, sutures, all manner of things. I feel naked if I do not have my knife on me.

When this thug put his gun to my head, I figured I had nothing to lose so I took my knife from my belt, opened it one handed (which is why I carry Spydercos) and drove it into his stomach while I grabbed the wrist of his gun hand with my other hand. I told him to drop the gun. Instead he bent his wrist and fired at me. I stabbed him again and he kept trying to bring the gun around and kept shooting it. I kept stabbing him and yelling (pleading), "Drop the friggin' gun!"

I slid my hand from his wrist to the gun and twisted it from his hand as he fell.

He lived, though he was a candidate for a colostomy bag. I was no billed as far as a Grand Jury, I was the one who brought a knife to gunfight after all. When people gathered around, I had one of them take his gun and hold it on him while I got a couple of beach towels out of the trunk of my car to use as pressure bandages cause he was bleeding big time.

A police cruiser that was driving by got flagged down by one of the spectators. I was put into handcuffs and interrogated at the scene and I don't blame the cops at all on this. For all they knew it could have been an arguement that got out of hand. Luckily there were enough people who saw what happened that I was not even taken in.

I am glad he did not die. Having his death on my hands for the rest of my life is not something I would have wanted. But while locked in that struggle with him, I admit, I was stabbing him with the intent of killing him. That he lived was lucky for the both of us.
