It is becoming clear that he might actually agree with the terrorists that America (and freedom) is the problem. Not fanatical islam.
Talk about hitting the nail on the head!!!
But political correctness has possessed Washington. It’s so bad that even Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who’s done a great job in many other respects, parrots the cliché that “we can’t kill our way out of this.”
How sad. There is of course only one way to win a war and that is to kill more of them then they kill of you or to kill enough of them to have them surrender. Never been a war won in any other way. If we fought WW2 like we fight wars now we would either be speaking german/japanese or still fighting...
Ralph Peters should be the Defense Sec.
Bullseye, as usual, for Peters. We have grown weak.
Holder: Has no clue how
Islamist terrorists think.
That picture caption is gonna leave a mark.
Another great essay by RP!
For anybody that doesn’t know it, Peters is also a terrific novelist of many years, and his books are in every library. Recommended reading!
Our Country wont go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There wont be any AMERICA because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!
-Lt. Gen. Lewis B. Chesty Puller, USMC
This is one of the most cogent editorials I’ve read in a long time.
Mr. Peters is 100% correct. America lost her will to win wars after VJ Day. Restricted/limited warfare is meaningless. A “surgical strike” with precision weaponry is just a tactical advantage. Taking out a terrorist here or there is simply target practice. Wars are won when one side loses the will to fight and surrenders. Every means must be employed to force the enemy to lose that will. If we refuse to fully mobilize and get the job done (go in, destroy the enemy, get out), we must be prepared to endure continued (and escalating) attacks on our country and populace.
