Read The Political Zoo. Savage really built Condoleezza Rice up in that book. Later on he came to hater her over the Israel issue, which I happen to agree with him on. The point is that Savage blindly admired Condoleezza until the Israel issue. Savage never thoughtfully considered Sarah Palin’s credentials. Sarah has a long history of public service and she was hugely popular in Alaska before the VP run. Had she declined to run for VP, she would still be a hugely popular Governor today.
Savage was right about Rice, she became a major disappointment just like the rest of the Bush administration. As for Palin very few people ever heard much about her before she was thrust into the VP limelight, so she has to be eternally grateful to McCain for that. If not for that she would’ve just continued to be some relative unknown Governor up in Alaska and certainly wouldn’t be making all these millions on a book.
So you were actually a true Savage fan huh? You mean you left the Savage ship just because of Palin?
