I never called Newt my hero. I said he was a conservative that served as OUR hero with his Contract With America during a time when we were being assaulted by the commie Clintons. We need someone like Newt now more than ever, more NOW than even during those eight looong years under Bubba.

If you had read my post, you’d know that I am just trying to get to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but. I’ve heard varying opinions and accusations...and some I can agree with. Some I’m not convinced of yet.

I find it better to think ‘for myself’ and find out for sure, before condemning someone based merely on hearsay. Innocent until proven guilty is much better than guilty until proven innocent. Wouldn’t you agree?

I don't know who he was talking about. But he just kept repeating the same thing over and over about the outsiders coming in and how they had no right to come in yada yada.

He just sounded nasty and hateful to me.

I'm a giant fan of Sarah Palin myself. I hope to get to vote for her in 2012

If you, or anyone else wants one of the signatures I made for the 2012 election, just right click and click save image as. Then download it to your computer. But you have to host it somewhere online. I host mine at imageshack because it's free.

Seems to me like....the only thing Newt did was the exact SAME thing most of us freepers did in ‘08. We held our noses and voted for the RINO Republican ANYway...

Sooooo...I take it that all of you guys that are accusing and blaming Newt for endorsing a RINO either didn’t vote in ‘08.... OR you voted DemocRat? Is that correct?

Nope, that's not correct. I voted very reluctantly for McCain/Palin. Reluctantly, because I had no faith in a McCain presidency. The ONLY reason I decided to vote for him instead of writing in Duncan Hunter, was because of Sarah Palin on the ticket. Period. I can't speak for anyone else, but that was my verdict.

Now to the difference between Newt and ourselves. We learned by the mistake the GOP made in 2008 by pushing a RINO like McCain. We've decided we'll never go down that road again. Obviously, Gingrich has NOT learned by that mistake and continues to support RINOs; nay Democrats running as Republicans. For that, I have little use for the man.

Now, that's enough of this. You've made it clear that the only reason you're doing this is to disrupt this thread. If you truly want information on Gingrich, there's a place called Google that I'm sure can help. That's not what we're here for, and I for one have had enough. Please direct your repeated inquiries elsewhere.

That’s fine by me. Except for football and beginning our decorations for Christmas, I’ll be around.

Newt very much reminds me of Landrieu.

That’s what strikes me as so odd. I always thought he considered himself a conservative. Maybe not. Maybe he’s just a party-loyalist, die-hard Republican. If Palin is what set him off, he better learn to get used to disappointment!

Go Sarah!!!!

Megan McCain would e proud of you.

Oh, and guess what? Bush slowly became a RINO. There I said it.

Pretty amazing coming from the former #1 Bushbot cheerleader. You see, unlike you, I do know one when I see one. And I'm tired of looking at all of you.

I am done with you. I am done with your lock step marching orders from the almighty (R).

It was a harad lesson, one I thank fellow freepers for.

So you can take your sky is falling, a little evil is better than a lot, a cloudy sky is better than a rainy one platitudes and shove it. You're cowardly approach to politics, numbers, whatever you call it, has only served to push Republicans farther and farther left. How sad must it be to realize you are a dying breed. Thank God for that, as well as the Tea Party movement that will also usher in your extinction.

Thank yourselves for Obama, while singing the praises of McCain, Romney and Huckabee. The rest of us fight with every bit of our God given breath, against tyranny, socialism, and the millions of pitiful souls who have sold their souls to the (R).

Uh...you posted to me first, sweetheart. And don’t ever accuse me of trying to disrupt a thread. I don’t do that. Especially not one started by Jim. If you don’t like the debate, just say nothing (next time).

Was Bush a RINO?

Any yes or no answer would annoy some of us. Out of Fight the evil Iraqi regime, Patriot Act, No Child Left, Medicare D&C, Comprehensive La Migra Deform, and John Roberts, Harriet Miers, and Samuel Alito, I supported less than half. That might give Bush a 37.5% rating.

Bush is and was a good man, and a far better President than two Nobel Prize winners would have been and are. If Algore had won, we'd be down to Scalia and Thomas on the conservative side, with Breyer as the swing vote. But the swing vote nearly went to Miers, and only our outrage swung the tide.

I’d say the partying will be pretty damn serious at the Tea Party gathering in February!

Trust me, the links are here on FR. Just search for Newt and you’ll find them. There should be a slew of them in wake of his Scozzafava endorsement and subsequent apology. Even Newt knows where the power in the conservative movement lies- and it ain’t with RINOs. So sad to see Newt fall so far from conservative principles. Hopefully he will redeem himself.

You’ll find plenty of us ex-Kali types out here. Been here since March of ‘05. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Just don’t move to Austin or Houston.

Leave Meghan McCain out of this.
