I think many teapartiers are not pro life. I don't care about the issue one way or the other.

WHAT???? You don't care one way or another if a baby is KILLED???

I have major issues with anyone who says he's a "conservative" and yet has no position on abortion.

But there needs to be room for conservatives to agree about the end but differ about the means.

I believe in the federalist, pre Roe position where each state makes its own law, coupled with the need to change hearts on the subject of abortion, one at a time.

There are some Freepers who seem to think that this is a pro-death position, and apparently believe that electing a President who loudly proclaims that he or she is pro-life at every opportunity will somehow make abortion go away.

We had Presidents who have so proclaimed, and not one abortion was prevented by this method unless it was by persuasion alone.
