And how many troops did Israel contribute to the Iraq War?
Let me help you out - none.
So spare us your insults about a “free ride”.
And in December 2007, Mexico fell from #3 to #4:

So - who stood to gain the most from Saddam being gone? (Hint: not the US, because Saddam was only a minor threat, far way).
The Kuwaitis? Now you're going to blame this on Kuwait?
Oh, yeah. I know, I know. You're obsessed with the Jooooos. I feel like an idiot just arguing with someone like you, but at the risk of driving you to a full throated rendition of the Horst Wessel Song, and hoping instead you might be redeemable, I'll give it a stab, and possibly regret it later.
Yeah. Israelis hated Saddam. If somebody was paying suicide bombers $25,000 a pop to mass murder your wives and children, you wouldn't like 'em much either.
But the fact is there was a good deal of Israeli ambivalence about the Iraq war. Israeli's main enemy, the main sponsor of Hamas and other terrorists groups, was and is Iran. And a strongman in Iraq was check on Iran. The Iraq War contained a risk of strengthening Iran, and even giving them influence in Iraq, and putting Iranian forces that much closer to Israel.
Overall, Israel was doubtless glad to see Saddam removed, BUT NO LESS THAN SADDAM'S ARAB NEIGHBORS, who were also threatened by Iraq. After all, Saddam HAD attacked a neighboring Arab state, Kuwait, and but for the intervention of The United States, would certainly have invaded Saudi Arabia as well. Apart from missiles popped off during the Gulf War, and the proxy of suicide bombers, Saddam had never attacked Israel. Certainly he never invaded Israel.
In short, Israel had the same attitude about the war as did the Arab states. Basically something along the lines of: "While it's a little scary, it's a good thing to do, but for God sakes if you're gonna do it, do it right, do it quickly, and follow through so you don't leave a mess behind."
And to think what a tremendous help it would have been to have Israeli troops occupying Baghdad. Would have made things so much easier!
Do I really need sarcasm tags? Do you even intend this as a serious argument? Did Mom drop you on your head as a child?
Great. So if Saddam had remained in power, restarted WMD programs, and got himself into another Mideast war, and ending up taking a fair share of Mideast oil off the market, and oil shot up to several hundred dollars a barrel, you good hearted Canuks would have kept selling it to us at $50 or $60 dollars, ignoring 20 million screaming Europeans begging you to take 10 times as much?
Big of ya. As if.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

PS. Is Paul Wolfowitz still openly seeing a Muslim mistress?
Many Tories are Arabist. Other Brits just can’t get over anticolonial war by Jews leading to the British pull out.
I respect your crust crabby take on things. If we met in a bar and argued over a few beers we would have a good time and shake hands afterward. I’m crabby and crusty myself when it comes to American independence and sovereignty. If we discussed Canada’s immigration policies we would probably agree 100%
In their minds they still think they lord over their (former) colonials. The ones they said goodbye to after WW2
Israel is the most obvious case but same goes for India and other ex-colonies
UK was too devastated and weakened to retain its colonies and territories
UK was so weak and had lost so many men that it started importing Pakistani workers......
Thus sowing the seeds of their present destruction via creeping Islamization funded by UK taxpayers who are forced to subsidize large Muslim families
