It’s not vitriol, he just doesn’t like the strip. Big deal. But with the enormous amount of morally bankrupt, disgusting and outright stupid programming on air these days, how can anyone possibly be so critical of a wholesome thing like Peanuts? It's very puzzling.
For the same reason that I often end up on a secular music station after checking every Christian station I have pre-set. So much Christian contemporary is not only aesthetically displeasing to me, it sounds like half of it is performed by the same male rock band and the other half is all performed by the same semi-folksy female pop singer. The content is awesome compared to secular music, but I just can't get into it.
I can sure see that happening with a cartoon show.
