Yeah, HP is junk, My sister purchased a newfangled touch screen model HP a few months ago and nothing but headaches! Its been returned twice to have the hard drive replaced. Everyone I know with an HP has nothing good to say about them. I’ve had good luck with DELL.

You ought to check out SysteMax. 100% American. No China junk, and no HP backdoors. HP cost me invaluable files when it just upped and went away two weeks after the warranty ran out. Backweb is notorious.
I got a Systemax and couldn't be happier. (I also got a 1 terrabyte external hardrive just in case.) I can't afford to lose files like that again.
And just to be sure this time, I burn the most important stuff on to CDs.
