LAS VEGAS, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently some rare and unreleased John Lennon recordings were discovered in a vault. These recordings were taped on August 19, 1980. They were done separately from the mysteriously missing video footage that was filmed at what is believed to be John Lennon's last recording session with his band prior to his death. Even more incredible, these recordings have never been released until now.

Obviously there are not many musicians or songwriters on this site. Of the groups you named all of them have stated they don’t come close to The Beatles . Most bands from the sixties to present day when asked to pick the all time top band have picked The Beatles. As far as the Stones go The Beatles were only together for 7 years and they had more number one hits than the Stones who have been together for 35. Even classical musicians have given The Beatles critical acclaim and play there music all over the world.
There’s the Beatles and then there’s all the rest.

And if someone went through my old tape drawer they would find much worse. Sometimes tapes run just as a sort of audio sketch pad.
