Treating the woman like a child, and saying that he was doing exactly that, is pretty much evidence of racist intent.
Had the couple been intent on doing harm, you wouldn't now be calling it petty.
The concern here is that someone was violating the rules, and this reporter was just trying to get an admission from the White House (through it's rep) of whether these folks were or were not 'invited', and who violated the rules and let them in.
Or don't you think we have a right to know when it is our White House, our Money, our government?

Not sure I get her angle...it sounds so TMZ. Not something really fitting of a white house correspondent imho. However..Gibbs was an asshat as usual...lol. I thought the concern over this dinner fiasco was about security..not whether Desiree was ‘overshadowing the first lady’ or acting like the ‘bell of the ball’. ??? Her question should have been directed to why the WH is not allowing her to testify and whether or not the WH is putting the blame on the Secret Service, when it should rightly be put on Desiree Rogers.
Just some random thoughts on the exchange.
All I can say is that after listening to the tape, I have my own opinion of their hissing, and you have yours.

I kind of threw in the racist bit just to be snarky. However, he is particularly snotty with her and she is the usually the only black reporter in there. What do you think would be the conclusion if the political parties were reversed?
Whose friend is Desiree? The Salahi woman? Who is the REAL jealous person here? Why setup the Secret Service like this?

It wasn’t racist at all.
If Gibbs had been talking to a white male he would have had the same reaction. He’s just smarmy.
We don’t want to get into a same rut as the libs, yelling “That’s racist” just because the woman was black.
It was not racist, just rude. Gibbs didn’t like the question. I saw him act the same way towards Jake Tapper.

But, The way he was treating the reporter is dealt with in TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS.
It has to do with the three viewpoints of communication between individuals. These three are PARENT - TEACHER - CHILD. Gibbs was doing the PARENT (down to) CHILD branch of the possible relationships.
Yeah, that's important stuff, particularly in consideration of the fact that security at the White House has become quite lax.
Obama has allowed people to come into the WH who have admitted to being involved in bombing other national landmark buildings.
The reporter's question was on the mark. Remember, not every mind-numbed, knee-jerk Leftwingtard is unpatriotic 24/7. Occasionally they wake up and realize what they're into ~ I believe she was having an epiphany!
I would act that way toward Jack Tapper ~ he, too, is an a-hole ~ just like Gibbs. But Gibbs was out of line with the child stuff. That wouldn’t matter if the reporter were older, or black, or foreign, or....... It’s just not done without INTENT, and here I think Gibbs let us in to take a glimpse of how it is he thinks he deals with his boss.
It doesn’t seem like a set-up to specifically hurt the Secret Service. It looks like a royal screw up and a typical WH reaction to shift blame to the Secret Service, the CIA, the military, Bush,etc. for something they are responsible for screwing up. Obama is a malignant narcissist and will never take blame for any of his screw ups. It’s part of the disease.

I believe we have seen a few (too few) reporters starting to demand some straight answers to their questions. Gibbs talking down to them just might give some reporters a spine.

She was trying to make the point that the gal wasn’t doing her job. It is the social secretary’s job to “work” not ATTEND the dinner. She had not assigned anyone to be at the gate with the Secret Service with list in hand. This was a big goof up and the reporter was trying to point this out over the WH cover-up!
What about he hurting his son’s feelings???
I’m beginning to suspect it’s the other way around ~ that Obama is a Negro hating blackman who gets over it by being humiliated by a whiteman regularly ~ kind of like Adolph Hitler and the hookers.
I get that part and am glad April at least is asking the questions....I just thought the quip about DC gossip and ‘overshadowing the first lady’ was unprofessional sounding. That should have not been a part of her questioning imho.
