Palin has since written on her facebook page that she believes the BC issue is a crazy conspiracy (paraphrasing). She has lost my confidence.
As for Dobbs, he's since come out FOR illegal immigration. He too has lost my confidence.

If you believe that, then you don’t understand Palin nor the strategy she’s using at all. Her statement about the birth certificate was absolutely brilliant!

Turning on Dobbs helps some really bad people.
Palin said what she said because she had to. And, many aspects of this are indeed a bit on the crazy side.
What’s not on the crazy side is pointing out that the MSM has repeatedly lied about this issue. By pointing that out and by *simply concentrating on the facts*, those who believe in the fringier theories could force the MSM to look into those theories in an honest fashion. That would also hold the MSM accountable and force them to offer better coverage of other issues.
Despite the fact that it would serve the interests of those pushing fringier theories, they refuse to do it.

Sorry. She did not say that. Your claim is inaccurate. She said other conspiracies were crazy, namely the ones pertaining to the birth of Trig.

Need to read both statements on both days that Sarah Palin said on this subject to get the proper " CONTEXT " in what she meant.....
Her basic statement to Rusty was that the people have a right to question Obama's eligibility and then made the point that they went after her too about her baby.
In her remark about stupid conspiracies, it was more of a sarcastic means to debunk the anti-birthers argument.
She went on to say how they went after her about her baby , that her baby might be her daughters , and when they asked her to prove it, she complied and showed the birth certificate, and asked why does not Obama also show his birth certificate.......
The conspiracy label is more legitimate for those who questioned her than, the legitimate argument to question Obama's eligibility , that is what she meant as " Stupid Conspiracies "....
