Per Fox. Title says it all. Gonna happen in time for Christmas. Gutless conservatives have been rightfully excluded from government.

It’s not a surprise in the slightest.

The only SLIGHTLY good news about this is that this move serves as greater proof that Obama is NOT bipartisan when we make our case to people considering our views. A “bi-partisan” president would realize that his move towards universal health care in and of itself is a hard pill for many in this country to swallow. That he and the Democrats in Congress insist not only pushing this controversial legislation, but do so with abortion tacked on like a slap in the face, dispels any illusions that this administration might still be trying to maintain.

A bipartisan president would have realized that the health care plan itself was divisive enough. A bipartisan president would have said, “You know, we’re pushing our agenda pretty hard by adding a public option... perhaps we ought to throw the other side a bone and not trample on one of their biggest issues.”

We need to pounce on this, and hard.

Do the Maine voters care what way she votes?

My impression is that she is re-elected more on her celebrity as former first lady than on a belief that she represents the citizens well.

If it's not that, it's affection for her husband the ex-governor.

This doesn’t make sense, since Sen. Nelson is going to vote no because of abortion and Sen. Lieberman is going to vote no because of a public option. Blanche — who knows? Certainly Senator Reid’s hysteria suggests they don’t have enough votes.

I don’t dare say what I am thinking!
I do find myself wondering what the storm on the White House and Congress is going to look like, however.

“One idea calls for national nonprofit insurance plans to be administered by the Office of Personnel Management, which oversees the popular Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

The proposal seems to appeal to a key Republican, Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, who met with Obama at the White House on Saturday.

On Sunday, Snowe called the possible compromise “a positive development” because it would give consumers more options for buying insurance.

Snowe’s potential support for the Democratic-crafted bill is crucial. Supporters need 60 votes to overcome filibusters, and the chamber’s 40 Republicans hope to draw at least one Democrat to their side.

It could be Nelson, who says he will not support final passage of a health care bill unless it includes the tight abortion restrictions he wants. If so, Democrats would have to woo moderate Republicans such as Snowe.”

This idea is an absolute non-starter, just like the “trigger.” Liberal Dems will never support it. Also, I can’t find anything that says Snowe will vote for abortion funding in the bill.

You mean pro life Democrat Senator Casey of Pennsylvania lied to us when he ran for election? Running on his fathers name and firm pro life stand he gathered up the Catholic vote. What fools they are. Stupid silly dimwits voting for the liar Casey. One conservative in line to vote last November said “ if any of the Catholics voted pro life we would not see Casey or Obama types. They always break ranks.” I am sorry to say she was speaking the truth.

Maine’s system is broke. That’s why Snowe is willing to vote for the Federal takeover. She’s wants the rest of us to bail out Maine. I absolutely despise these morons. Central planning of one-sixth of the American economy is what they’re forcing down our throats. Socialists are losing all over Europe because of the failure of their policies. And we’re hellbent on adopting them.

Republicans started all of this. George Bush made it acceptable for government to take over education and banks, to spend like there was no tomorrow, and to guarantee all kinds of benefits to people who are in the country illegally. He trashed the Republican brand more effectively than Richard Nixon ever did. And the Republican lemmings in Congress allowed him to do it. Now they’re bellyaching because the Democrats are taking over and extending everything they started.

How do we stop this madness?

I know things didn’t work for John and Judy but I have never understood what “Jock” saw in Olympia. I have known her longer then he has and I have never found her to be anything other than a really nasty bitch!

And then there is Sen Kyl of AZ who made some inane remark about not trying to stop this but trying to throw many amendments to the bill up against the wall to what..stone wall and get discussion going?
If the Resident cared at all what solutions others had to suggest would not have had a meeting behind closed doors with the jackasses only.
A pox on all of them.

I fail to see who the “gutless” conservatives are. All the conservatives are sticking together to oppose this, and Snowe has never been conservative. Sounds to me like the conservatives are standing their ground.

Yep. Got one in the family, and when this is brought up she gets very indignant and changes the subject. In that house, the Democrat party gets obedience while the Pope gets lip service.
