Steve, here’s the Reader’s Digest condensed version answer to your question (re “why do we want them back?”):

Talking to them is a good thing. Maybe they would like to tell the American authorities who else/what else might be of interest to us (the U.S.A.).

They have the right to remain silent...Anything they say can and will be used against them in a court of law...They have the right to an attorney, if they cannot afford an attorney, one can be appointed to them...

Do they understand these rights???

You betcha, and as we have seen in the past all they have to do to muck up the works is say they were not afforded their rights as citizens of this country, even though they were arrested and not read their Miranda rights right on the spot, because Paki cops are not required to read anything, much less anything associated with American law...

That’s why I say, whatever they may know, it can’t be that big a deal, really, I firmly believe that...

So let them stew over there for a while...
