In NCAA basketball, March Madness brings in the bucks big time. Why not do the same in football?
Because it takes too long! You can play 3 or 4 Basketball Games per week and you cannot do this in football. You can have a tournament in a city and play a bunch of games in one Arena over a weekend. You cannot do this in football. You CANNOT extend the football season longer than it already is. We have professional football for that and by the way the Super Bowl is now Feb 7 (if you can believe it). The purpose of college is NOT to train professional athletes.
