I’m always so challenged each time they play one another.... I served for 5 years in the US Navy Submarine Service... and then 16 years in the US Army Chemical Corps, retiring in 1997 as an E-7.
I console myself with the fact that both are great teams, representing wonderful academies, which are training tomorrow’s leaders, who have chosen to protect our freedom.
Therefore, we ALL win in supporting either, or both, teams!

While my dear old Pappy served in the US Army during World War Two and was a West Point fan, I've been pulling for the Naval Academy since my days at John J. Pershing Junior High School when
Joe Bellino lead Navy Blue & Gold to victory over Army Gray in 1959 and 1960, winning the Heisman Trophy his Senior year!
When Army and Navy play each other at any sport... 
it is the only time the Navy and Marine Corps are on the same side!
