I’ve let Kay Hutchison know that she should not have voted for cloture on the Defense budget bill.

I imagine it would have been hard to vote no on this Bill, however, even when the goal is to delay the upcoming vote on healthcare. I’m not sure that *I* could have cast a “No” vote on finance for the military, even knowing as I do that the bill included money for abortions in the city of D.C.!

Not voting made no more difference on the fact of cloture than KBH’s “Aye” vote, but it still showed solidarity with the Republicans and with the majority of Americans who oppose

I am in favor of a boycott of the fake votes, though it’s doubtful that the media would give the Republicans the same coverage they always give the Congressional Black Caucus when they walk out.
