IMHO, catching tax cheats (rich or otherwise) is NOT a bad thing. Everyone needs to follow the law. They should also go after politicians too.

How are they tax cheats when they're simply using existing tax law to their advantage?

There are hundreds of legal loopholes in the system. If you had to fork over half of your income to the government, would you cheerfully pay it or look for ways to minimize it?

Uh....if they’re following the law, then they’re not cheats. But there are plenty of people who don’t think the tax laws apply to them. Nick Cage and Wesley Snipes come to mind. And, since I’m in a 33% bracket, I fork over plenty of my income—even using “loopholes”. If I have to do it, then people in like circumstances shouldn’t get away with no doing it.
