You can actually go to Google Maps Street View and go down Falls Road and view all the murals.

a legit army which never had a uniform LOL

I swear right now I have never heard of anyone even on the KOS sites that we do not need the Brits helping us.
I have never heard on here anyone supporting a terrorist group so all of this comes as a complete shock.

I honestly think that wazoo is not every informed to what he supports and for some reason which I do not know he feels that if he has this view of our ally and supports these scum then he will be more of an Irish man.

Of course I could be wrong about that but there is not clear explanation as to why anyone would support these cowards.
They even helped the Germans in world war two for heavens sake. The same Germany we were fighting against with the Brits

When I read how bobby sands was a great patriot then I knew I had just read the most absurd post on here.

Without going in to addressing: Traditional IRA, Provisional Irish Republican Army, Real Irish Republican Army, Gerry Adams, Sinn Fein…or the terrorist ties and links between Yasser Arafat and middle eastern terrorism. Maybe this is England’s albatross and sins of the father.

To tell you the truth, gratitude is not needed at this point, the efforts have been squandered by a narcissistic citizenry; fix your own countries problems first before placing the burden of socio-economic, pop-culture, and junk-science on others! For I do not believe America or any other Western Nation will bailout Europe again, or pay the freight for folly any longer; so I suggest you buck-up and start doing what is right for everyone’s inalienable rights and freedom, not just pop-culture silliness; or be known as Euro-Trash.

This will be my last post on this subject, because it is pointless to discuss this topic with someone who doesn't know the history.

the sumbags were formed and tough todays ira is not the same obviously they have still the same agenda.

The agenda is a free united Ireland. They see that as the only solution. I agree with them on this issue.

it was the catholics who wanted the Brit army in to protect them and so the army went in,. The ira saw that there was a threat to their way of money and life.power.

The British army was originally brought in to quell the violence from the protestant paramilitary groups attacking the Catholic civil rights marchers. The British army was no help whatsoever (Bloody Sunday?) to the Catholics and allowed the protestant paramilitaries a free hand in attacking Catholics.

Unification will happen sometime in the next fifty years. When that happens and the protestant paramilitaries take up arms against the Irish Republic, will all of the British Empire fanatics attack the UDA and such with the same amount of venom as they currently attack the IRA? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Ha! I see where the Republic is letting the Muzzies in to start a girls school for hajib models. Enjoy sharia law. You'll be crying for the Brits to save you.

While I am Catholic and do have sympathy to the Irish cause, I will say, Maggie knew how to deal with the IRA thugs.

I have no idea, that's rich it's you supporting a terrorist group, it is you have thinks we don't need the help of our best ally in our two wars and actually thin the Brits cause us more trouble than help . You have no idea what the ira who you support is about. You support terrorists I can;'t make this any easier for you to understand. You think bobby sands was a patriot. All sides have been wrong on the issue but today the majority see that their killing and beating for their drug trades and money is wrong but it seems you do not. I think you have this romantic dream of a group just fighting for a country well I have lived over there for a year and a half. met many good and bad folks over there and seen first hand the destruction by these cowards including the deaths of two friends. you have not what so ever and you still haven;t told me where you have been over there if you have at all. Just read for your self others posts on this issue. Even your views are not welcome in Ireland or Ulster INLA, real ira, prov ira ,UVF, UDA, UFF are all wrong and thankfully most see this. You said that the ira were formed in 68 to protect the catholic population and it was m,e which had to correct you that it was catholics who wanted the army in to protect them. Do you honestly think the ira is about religion? it's about drugs, power, money, protection etc so sorry to take away your romantic notion of this terrorist killing group

The IRA of the early 1900s was a legitimate army with over 100,000 soldiers. Keep on lying. You're just digging a deeper hole.

Again, you are an ignoramus. The Irish Volunteers had approximately 200,000 members and the IRA had approximately 100,000. Even Wikipedia has some stats.

Irish Volunteers

IRA

maybe if he goes over there he’ll see how Ireland now is being populated by muslims, polish, lots of them infact, and many other immigrants.

They do not care about joining the two countries together, most irish do not want the north either.
I was told of many of them that they don’;t want it because it would bring the troubles to their country, and the masses of welfare .
the country of Ireland would never be able to afford the north because of all the welfare, security would be too much for them.

50 years , nope no way.

next he’ll be saying how the ira are religious catholics and this is about religion.

If anything, the Poles moving to Ireland might in the end help it to stay somewhat Catholic.

very true that.

I found the poles were very hard workers.

I still have friends and family over in the UK and northern ireland and they all said how the poles work like mad.

Weird though when you go over there and you see a pakistani muslims talking with an English or irish accent.
even more weird when you hear a china man with the accent

‘It’s the least they can do after we bailed them out of two world wars.’

Yawn, and you have the nerve to criticise others for their ‘bad history’?....

‘Judging by the numbers of troops and money they have invested, I’d say they are doing the bare minimum.’

The real men and women of America, who are fighting abroad, would disagree. Who cares what an ignorant internet warrior like you thinks?.

It isn't even a question to most people.

Awful decision, and one which I opposed, as did many Scots.

Lets not forget though, that IRA men and women were allowed to remain in the US in past decades, as American courts refused extradition. And both Rep and Dems courted them and their Boston-NY supporters.

It doesn't matter whether you personally opposed it or not. The decision was made by the British government to release a man convicted of the murder of 270 people (190 Americans) in order to secure oil contracts for British Petroleum.
