Walpins finding were in two areas: NYC and CA. the Attorney Generals of those state have the power to investigate, indict and send to prison individual involved. Yes RICO and federal laws were broken, BUT the states have responsibilities too...and they aren't under BO’s thumb....yet

I agree, the states could do something too.

But the Federal Laws ACORN knowingly and flagrantly violated numbers in the hundreds, i.e.: Numerous counts of wire fraud alone. Then there's all the IRS violations.

Plus Federal convictions are stricter. The judges have sentencing guidelines they must follow as to a minimum of years. And iirc, a prison term of ten years means ten years. There isn't any 'day off per day of good behavior' as in states where you're out in five years (or 1/2 your sentence).
