Unless the Israeli’s can block oil from Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela, the US will have access to oil. It is also a mistake to think that it would be a bad thing that China quits buying our debt. The only way to stop and reverse the growth of this government tumor is real economic consequences.

Unless the rest of the world can knock off our Navy, we will continue to be the lone super power in the world. In my estimation, the consequence of an economic collapse would only result in a more isolationist US. US isolationism would create more instability around the world, but not completely destroy American power.

Absolutely true, but not enough to avoid a 1978 Carter type serious stagflation with oh-so-popular lines and rationing accompanied by severe unemployment and depression economic numbers.

It is also a mistake to think that it would be a bad thing that China quits buying our debt.

Yes and no. Sure it would be great to stabilize the budget and protect the dollar, but it would be disaster if it was imposed on us rather than accomplished by us. Look at it this way, the world's worst narcotics addict will quit cold turkey and continue to maintain his job and job performance, guard his home, and make responsible decisions for his family, because his dealer, not him, decided to cut him off.

Lastly the US Navy IS as good as you say, but they WILL follow orders. There is little they can do if OPEC embargoes the US and REFUSES to sell oil to the US.

Just as an aside, keep an eye on China's navy.
