I distinctly recall from her interview with Beck that he answered a question that really made her pause. Who knows, most everyone has a moment in their life that changes everything. Could it be that he so surprised her that she began to reflect? Just asking because her comments seem to be that of someone who is questioning things much deeper than she is speaking.

You are absolutely right on target. People like Couric have a hard time dealing with people who don't play along and accept people like her, politicians, and other celebrities as greater than the rest of us. They have an even harder time dealing with people who think that individuals like her and her ilk are actually less insightful and knowing than the average person. Ultimately, it's about ego.
