At 7:16 a.m., the Senate passed on a 60-39 party line vote a sweeping health care bill that will tighten insurance regulations, provide insurance for 31 million more Americans and cost $871 billion over the next decade.

"This is for my friend Ted Kennedy, aye," said Sen. Robert Byrd as he cast his vote.

I hope these bastards burn in hell for this. Still, there’s still away to go with this in the House. We have to keep the pressure on. We may even get help from the libtards in the House, many seem to think this POS doesn’t go far enough in destroying our health care system.

Does anyone know if there is a way to organize a class action suit to block this ?

Bad idea. All class action suits do is enrich the very lawyers who are the biggest Democrat party donors. Besides, no class action suit ever results in a victory for the party bringing the suit. Whenever private companies are sued in such a manner, they'll end up just settling the thing. The end result is a fat paycheck for the lawyers, and coupons for your next product/service from the same company that wronged you to begin with.

The real funny part in that is if enough plaintiffs make use of those coupons, it more than covers the loss paid to the lawyers. :)

The Tea Tax Act of 1773 was historic, too.

Presumably, the Senate voted early for this monstrosity because its members wanted to get out town in advance of the predicted bad weather.

So I’m wishing them: long lines and long waits at the airport and when they do finally get on a flight, I hope they all sit next to someone like Dell Griffin.*

Due to the “no congressional action shall change this “ clause hidden in the middle of this bill, this turd will be impossible to uncrap. As we have sadly found, elections have consequences.

Impy, I'm curious if you and others agree if this solution is technically possible, or if there is an easier solution:

We are not going to have a filibuster proof senate, and that means that repealing anything is going to be difficult. Guess what? So far as Health-Scare goes, we don't need the senate. All we really need is the House.

Every year, congress must pass an annual budget. The House and the Senate [with the President's signature] must seek to reach an agreement. If they fail to, then there is no budget. As I understand it, that results in a government shutdown.

The GOP is gun shy about government shutdowns. Historically, they have been burned back when the Old Media was dominant. But now, with the public overwhelmingly opposed to the Health-Mare, I think the time is right to touch that third rail with a surgical strike.

The 2011 House leadership can declare a temporary budget for seniors, disabled, military, etc. As for the IRS, the EPA, Presidential staff, etc, NO FUNDING until healthcare is repealed. The GOP could then extol how great it is to save money every day, and if the DNC wants to hold senior citizens’ checks hostage, that's the DNC’s decision.

We need to give the RNC serious chiropractic treatment to strengthen their spines, but that will be a hundred times easier than forcing a jackass to be sensible.

Don't count on it. Remember how all those female dog liberals in the House whined about how the bill they passed did not cover baby murdering? What did they do? They voted for it anyway.

I am so angry right now I can't see strsight. Craspo, spineless RINO, said that it cannot be repealed. Where are the reps who will stand up for us? This is a sad, sad day, and to push it through on Christmas Eve is just another slap in the face to Christians.

I have to stop now, since my thoughts do not reflect the Christmas spirit. I'm off to take a shower and do some last minute shopping.

I knew it was coming, but it still bums me out.

I no longer think we’re going to get our country back without bloodshed.

We probably aren't going to get it back period, but yeah... there's going to be blood. Theirs or ours, and the problem is that they know that we are reluctant.

Ted Kennedy could afford any kind of health care he wished for.

Byrd sure idolized a hero with feet of pudding.

Byrd will not live long enough to see the damage he and his fellow Dems have set into motion.

What’s next out of NObama administration? Declaring that we all have to learn Estonian language or we will be fined & thrown into jail? They sure are running with the bit in their teeth.

I hope a group that knows and understands the Constitution gets action on this all the way to the Supreme Court and do so immediately. I predict that the Tea Partyies will be more numberous than ever.

Or with the right of a new Constitutional Convention called by the governors of the states. Spread the word, a lot of Freepers already on board.

Let us rise and say mourner’s kaddish for the late great Constitution of the United States of America. This used to be a heck of a country.

This travesty, taken along with Porkulus, the bank and auto industry bailouts, pending immigration reform and the insidious crap-and-tax certainly will spell the end of America unless conservatives and other patriots rouse themselves out of their selfish stupors and MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD!

This is a truly sad day for the US.

It’s time to take back the country.
