If, while attending my church, I learned that a few individuals were planning on bombing an abortion clinic, as much as I did not agree with abortion, I would turn the names of these people over to the police.
If Muslims really want to make a difference, they need to start policing their own Mosques and start turning in people who are planning violence, not just issue statements after the fact.
That would require the average Muslim to be against violence in the name of jihad. My experience from having met, worked with, and taught many of the so-called moderate average Muslims that live in Detroit is that most of them are secretly in favor of violence. Out of the hundreds of Muslim Americans I met and spoke with and questioned as to their political beliefs, I would say that approximately three of them were the type of peaceful, Americanized person that the Today show would have you believe that all of them are.
