Your post says it all, especially the part about the “smelly hiney” aka butt bombs, which the current body scanners cannot detect so the whole thing is worthless.
How would those be detonated, by the way?

The thing is that the butt bomb needs to be taken out before detonation, because otherwise the bomber’s body will absorb most of the blast.
