America will continue to dither as long as we elect fools like the current occupant of the White House, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Majority Leader in the Senate.
America will dither as long as we cannot solve our energy problems with Nuclear Power and use of coal and Natural Gas as transportation fuels.
America will dither as long as we have this idiotic service economy and don't rebuild our manufacturing base. We need to get back to building things again.

A serious question - i) Is it too late? 2) Has too much time slipped past, and is there a chance for recovery (and would the lag time for that be sufficient)? 3) As for the solutions for recovery (and there are viable cogent solutions), is there the leadership to ensure it happens (and by leadership I do not just mean some one person, but also the political will and courage/purpose/vision to followthrough ....sometimes I wonder if the GOP is not merely a more intelligent version of the Democrats).
I have my own personal beliefs (encapsulated:- it is not too late, and it can be done), it is just that the issue of the presence (or should I say, absence) of political will remains the Gordian knot that will make or break your Great Nation.
