Politics is exciting, and one person can make a difference. I worked for Dick Cheney when we lived in Wyoming. I campaigned my hiney off for him.....and have never regretted it. He was awesome then and still is. Since we moved to So. Dakota, I’ve worked hard to dump Daschle (sucessfully) and am on Thune’s local team now. He is great and I really think he will go far. My money and time all go to local/state issues and candidates. Grassroot efforts trickle up.
“Politics is exciting, and one person can make a difference”....... “Grassroot efforts trickle up.”
This is true for the most part. But it does seem the higher one goes the more corrupt, perhaps they just hide it better.
I really enjoyed local politics, although where I am now I have no interest. Moved from Ohio to be closer to my family. Transfered with company and seemed like things just fell into place to make this change. So excited to be near family again but I failed to investigate the community here. It’s beyond awful!
All grants state and otherwise go to an elite community in the corner of the county here, which indirectly and directly benifits the city of Pittsburgh,( who is broke and under state control.) yet in an entirely different county. Talk about tricky politics!!! I am seeing even at a local level the big boys are laying claims.
I spoke to local political leaders about this but there was not one who cared one way or another....this community has no desire to improve the area and it shows. Let alone fight anything that would change it.
Good for you to make the differences where you’ve been and are! I envy you..for now tsk tsk. I cannot imagine working with Cheney! How exciting was that!!!!! and I got a kick out of watching Daschle get “dumped”..good going!
Doesn’t hoit that thune is a looker ~wink
